There has always been a book inside me - maybe more than one.
Although I have contributed to many blogs, articles and the like, Ive never been more compelled to publish a written work than I was when I learned of my great grandfather, Jerome Ardell Williams novel, The Tin Box. I felt a motivation and obligation to write about and introduce The Tin Box to a new generation of people.
In The Tin Box: A Story of Texas Cattle and Oil, I contributed the Foreward, Introduction, Preface and an Epilogue.
I want people to know about The Tin Box, where the story came from and what it represented for our history and generation.
The Tin Box will be released during Black History Month in February 2012.
